## Onboarding Steps

### 1. Undergo and Pass KYC/AML/CFT Checks

The onboarding process involves industry standard KYC/AML and sanctions screening, including but not limited to identity verification of directors and beneficial owners, sanctions screening, PEP screening, verification of company documentation and ownership structure, adverse media searches, verification of source of wealth, among others.

OpenTrade uses both internal and 3rd party providers to carry out due diligence during the onboarding process, which involves processing of sensitive personal data.

For more information on our privacy policy, see [here](/terms-and-conditions/privacy-and-cookie-policies.md).

### 2. Execution of Master Lending Agreement

Once a Lender passes KYC/AML/CFT checks, they will execute a [Master Lending Agreement](/stablecoin-yield-vaults/product-overview/legal/master-lending-agreement.md) with the Borrower, which governs the lending activity done on the Platform.

This will be issued to the Lender's authorised signatory via Docusign.

### 3. White-Listing Supported Digital Asset Wallet

The final step is to white-list the wallet address you provided during the onboarding process. Only white-listed [supported digital asset wallets](/welcome-to-opentrade/supported-digital-wallets.md) can interact with the OpenTrade Platform. Once white-listed, you will be able to interact with the platform using this wallet.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.opentrade.io/getting-started/onboarding.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
